Some say there are only seven stories, but I’ve come to believe there is only one, love, in all its forms. This film explores its most destructive side, where love becomes both emotional and physical suffering, perhaps the purest form of it. When Siyumini brought me the song, its words spoke of an unreachable love, something distant and longed for, but what I saw between the lines was different. I saw a woman trapped in a toxic, abusive, and manipulative relationship, chasing fragments of affection wrapped in pain, holding onto fleeting moments that felt like love. I wanted to present this story without judgement, not to moralise, but to observe. By simply revealing the quiet suffering behind closed doors, the film invites the audience to feel what she feels, where even the smallest gesture of care becomes euphoric after enduring so much.
